Food bank – nom program!🍴

On Friday 30th May and Friday 6th June Rooms B4 and B5 had a nom! Schools incursion. They learnt about healthy eating, did fun nutrition education activities and cooked up a storm! The classes cooked a few healthy and delicious recipes together, and at the end they all sat down and had a feast. Students were given recipe books to use at home, and we are looking forward to what they cook next with their awesome cooking skills! Music Assembly

Our amazing student leaders and Mrs Ludovico led our most recent assembly. The energy was infectious as students were guided through a joyful performance that had everyone smiling and clapping along.

French fun in term 2!

French has been fabulous this term! Our Year 5 and 6 students partnered with the Kindy and Pre-Primary classes to share their French book creations. The older students read to their buddies, taught them some French, and even enjoyed playtime together. It was a heartwarming experience for all—and the big kids were just as eager to go back as the little ones!

The River Project

Luma is one of Australia’s largest not-for-profit organisations specialising in women’s health and wellbeing. The organisation had recently been awarded a Bupa Community Grant to co-ordinate an art project at our school, to educate school children on the importance of environment and culture -‘The River Project’. The artwork was led by Noongar Aboriginal Elder Leonie Bartlett, with assistance from Melissa and Maxine.  All students and staff from Hudson Park Primary School contributed to the art piece through hand prints.

Supercar STEM Experience 🏁

A few of our Year 5 and 6 students recently had the incredible opportunity to attend the V8 Supercars event, where they were given exclusive trackside access to see the action up close! The day was packed with excitement as students met professional drivers, engineers, and team owners, while also exploring the behind-the-scenes workings of the motorsport world. It was a real-world STEM learning adventure that highlighted the teamwork, innovation, and technology that drive the Supercars industry. This hands-on experience was both inspiring and educational—and one our students won’t forget anytime soon.

Men’s Health Breakfast

We recently welcomed our wider school community to a special Men’s Health Breakfast to mark Men’s Health Week. It was a fantastic morning where dads, caregivers, and community members gathered over a warm cuppa and a bite to eat to chat and connect. The event encouraged meaningful conversations around health and wellbeing, while also strengthening the bonds within our Hudson Park Primary community. Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the morning so memorable!
