During term, Monday to Friday, school starts at 8.50am and finishes at 3.00pm.
Recess: 10.50am to 11.15am
Lunch: 1.15pm to 1.50pm
The school office is open during term Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 3.30pm
Arrival at School
While children should not arrive before 8.15am, all students are to remain in the undercover area until classrooms open. Classrooms will open at 8.40am so students can get themselves organised for the day. Attendance will be taken at 8:50am.
Parents are asked to pick children up promptly after school. If you are running late, please call the office on 9345 6550 so that we can reassure your child that you are on your way.
Absences
If your child is ill, please keep them at home.
Please supply a reason for the absence by one of the following methods:
- calling reception at (08) 9345 6550
- sending an email to hudsonpark.ps@education.wa.edu.au
- adding an ‘Attendance Note’ on COMPASS
- sending a written note to school when the child returns
This is a requirement under the Western Australian law (School Education Act 1999).
Parents who fail to ensure that their children attend school regularly or who fail to provide satisfactory explanations for absences may face a penalty of $1000 for each offence.
Late Students
Any child arriving late to school must come to the office to receive a late note before going to class.
Collecting your child during school hours
A student may leave the school grounds during school hours provided they are collected by an authorised, responsible adult who has signed them out at the front office. If your child is to be signed out by someone other than you, please be sure to notify the office by calling reception at (08) 9345 6550.
